Costco. Warranty and price can't be beat.
Does Johnson Controls list the companies they make batteries for?
varies a bit by group size. Consumer Reports tested and provided a report in their magazine about two months ago (Sep or Oct 08??). For group size 35 and 65, the two I am most concerned with, Walmart Maxx came out well.
For selected sizes, Kirkland Costco came out well, but not on all sizes, particularly my two. Since I travel places where there are no convenient Costcos, I hesitate to buy their batteries and get stuck away from their stores, so for me, Walmart is a more logical, less risk choice.

I don't have a Costco near me but WalMart is 1 mile up the road.
The batteries at your Virginia Wal-Mart are very likely to be made by Exide.
Would it be best to go with Autozone Gold?
Johnson Controls makes the Duralast brand batteries, Interstate, Wal-Mart, Die Hard. OReilly and CarQuest batteries are made by East Penn.
The battery that is in the 93 Infiniti G20 now is a Group 35.
Which one of these should I get? I don't know the difference between the Group 24 and Group 35.

They make Wal-Mart batteries in some regions. They do not make the Wal-Mart batteries sold at the Wal-Marts in this area.

If the alternative is an Exide battery, yes. Where in Virginia are you? The Wal-Marts as far south as Fredericksburg sell Exide batteries. I haven't been to any further than that.

Exide made bad , Johnson controls made good. I am almost absolutely positive Interstate batteries are Johnson controls.
I would go with the Group 24. Its design to fit your car exactly. The reserve cold cranking amp is about 120 vs 90 with the GROUP 35 battery. A bit more cranking power never hurts.

I'll probably go for this one at my local tire / oil change shop I have dealt with for 5+ years. Local guys who treat ya right.
