Cape Cod Chips will no longer be made in Cape Cod

Hopefully it doesn't turn out like First Brands and they kill of the brand - I like those chips.

On a related note - +1 for UTZ chips.

After losing Troyer Farms and Dan-Dee brands, UTZ Potato Chips are the closest thing to the PA-grown potato chips I grew up with in WNY. UTZ was picked-up the last year or two by the local Kroger stores, so I can source them here in the PNW.

It’s Campbell’s.

Cape Cod chips were founded in Hyannis in 1980, and the plant has been in operation since 1985. It became part of Campbell’s network through the 2018 acquisition of Snyder’s-Lance, Inc. As the brand has grown over the years, the company has increased production at other Snacks locations across its network, including plants in Beloit, Wis., Charlotte, N.C. and Hanover, Pa.​

I grew up on Dan Dee chips in Cleveland Ohio....They were the best....
 
We had our local Boulder Canyon chips brand snarfed up by Utz as well. It was a small batch kettle chip company in Boulder, Colorado but now made in Arizona. I can only assume the original owners walked away with a lot of cash stashed in empty potato chip bags.

Utz have been in Colorado for a while. Have you tried Krunchers kettle chips? Walmart seems to carry them off and on. I remember getting them when I was five or so. My dad's aunt and uncle took my parents and sisters out for dinner and I still remember the brand and eating them. Definitely worth a try.
 
Big conglomerates and especially private equity buying a smaller brand is never good! Campbells recently purchase Rao's. How long before the sauce starts tasting like Ragu. Black Rock purchased Jersey Mike's. They will keep cutting corners to increase profits and the subs will be worse than Subway.
