Can't get the rotor off distributor.

It's a boat 5.7 L Mercusier with Thunderbolt Ingnition. Built in the 90's. The rotor is attached to the sloted piece of metal below it.
Looks corroded in the distributor.

It looks to be just pressed on with no bolts.

Any ideas how to get it loose? Thanks!

Do you have the new rotor already? I worked on a merc outboard that the rotor and shaft were one piece.

It is a plastic part.
Use a hacksaw, bolt cutter or vice grips and crush it.
I would likely hacksaw and then pry it apart carefully from the shaft.

Yeas - I'd break it carefully , clean things up and use a bit of lube, then put the new one in.

I've seen a couple rotors held on by a screw. If not, break it off as described above.
