I have been updating my Blackstone Report for years but can't seem to find it now. A lot of you guys responded and helped me. I promised I would continue to update it. It was in regards to my high lead reading on my LS7 Corvette motor using Redline 5w/30. I was advised to switch to Mobil1 0w40 and lead dropped. If anyone can find the old thread that would be great. Here is my latest report: [Linked Image] DH

Hmm, I remember Dirty_Howie buying a used Corvette from an "old geezer" like it was yesterday. So, you switched from the premium high-POE Red Line High-Performance 5W-30 to the lowly Mobil 1 FS 0W-40 and the high lead is gone? Why don't you try a humble conventional 15W-40 CK-4 HDEO and see what happens. Perhaps it will take care of the high-iron issue as well.

Looks great thumbsup Glad to see lead has stayed down and iron appears to be right in-line with Universal Averages for the engine, so I wouldn't worry about that one iota.

Q: I have read that if iron and copper are also elevated (along with lead) then it's a wear issue. Otherwise it may just be fuel or fuel additives. Is that true?
