Canadian Tools

[OVERKILL]

These are the Craftsman screwdrivers my wife got me for Christmas.

Made in Canada.

The Armstrong (USA) ratchets are above them. The partial red screwdriver set is my German one.

Most of my Snap-On stuff is Made in Canada too.

Thanks, I would buy Made in Canada in a heart beat. Other than Made in Canada wool clothing I never see Made in Canada tools. I live across the river from Canada.

I think it's because Canada mandates a certain percentage of stuff has to be made domestically???

These were the "last of a breed", as they have now been replaced by the black handled Chinese ones at Sears

My wife managed to somehow get the last set of the Canadian ones.

Sounds like you got lucky! I'm not sure where I heard the bit about Canada setting limits? Can you confirm or deny that?

I'm in the US and I too would readily buy products made in Canada because they are in line with other developed, first world nations that offer a decent standard of living to their citizens. I also would buy German, and other European country brands that have similar standards of living to ours in the US.

That is a nice set of screw drivers. I guess you still use them?
I find I never do anymore, I just have hex bits that either go into my drill, my 1/4" ratchet, or I have cheap ratcheting screw driver.
It must be faster though to have seperate ones though. The odd time its annoying if I have to use 4 different bits for a job and be switching all the time.

Yes, I use them a lot on computers and electronics.

What they should have done is put the #3 Phillips handle on the #2 Phillips and
then take the handle on the far right and put that handle on the #3 Phillips.

I also buy any time I can tools made here. Last time though, I stepped back and did not buy a Craftsman wrench as it was not the same good old Craftsman anymore.

On a side note: get a Felo 550/552 series screwdriver. Just one. Stradivari of screwdrivers.
