Canadian Tire ... Motomaster Euro oil

Canadian Tire has Motomaster OEPLUS Euro Premium 0w-30 made in Germany, aka Pennzoil Platinum Euro LX on sale at C$36.99 at the moment, 5L jug. You get your regular CT money plus $5 if you spend $50 or more.
My local store had full shelve, I got 2 jugs.

Wait, does this mean that the Motomaster Euro 0W-40 is actually Pennzoil Platinum Euro 0W-40? I've been looking for that oil.

It's a store sort of points card but not limited to one store chain, SportChek, Atmosphere, Marks Warehouse, Party City are part of the program and you get some 'money' back on the card when you buy stuff at these stores. They run promotions giving extra 'money' back but that can only be used at those stores at 1 to 1 to dollar value. Some promos are great like getting back $20 when you spend $80 even when buying item on sale.
So, buying two oil jugs for about $85 out the door (12% sales tax and recycling fee) I got about $7 back. When Pennzoil or Mobil run online promotions you get that MIR too. Sometimes they do spend $5 get $5 back or give something like nice and brand-name wool socks for free.

See where it's made compared to the PP, check all certifications for both oils. It's possible they are same.

Trying to figure out the mystery of exactly what this oil is.
I've heard speculation that it is very similar if not identical to PP Euro 0w40. Although none of the labeling or marketing of the Motomaster oil suggest anything about it being GTL. It appears that Shell manufactures oils in Alberta and Houston for the North American market. I have found an MSDS from 2016 for the PP Euro 0w40 manufactured in the Alberta plant which matches the exact physical characteristics of the Motomaster OEPlus 0w40. See links below. Not sure if the 2016 PP Euro was GTL at the time. The Motomaster MSDS does...
