I have seen a lot of positive feedback on the forums about PP. Just wondering if anyone thinks PP can go 15K like M1 EP?

Probably it's pushing the limits, but depends on driving habits & engine. Just like M1 EP.
If 100% highway, at speed limit, during moderate temperatures - its possible.
Just make sure to take sample close to accepted limit of 10K

You would have to do a UOA at maybe 5000 miles to see how much longer it could go.

What brand of an oil filter do you plan too use. If you are going to run an oil filter out to 15,000 miles it better be an Amsoil EaO Oil Filter.

Not really. There was a 15k UOA on PP recently in a Toyota Truck, and the oil was pretly worn out. I think 12k is about the safe general max you can say.

But of course, individual vehicles will vary in their results...

For you Nissan, with 3.5 quarts oil capacity your are looking for trouble if you go beyond 7500 miles. PP is a great oil, just not designed nor marketed for 15,000 miles.

The Mobil 1 EP is made just for the purpose of long life. Amsoil is long life as well, it's what I use.

I know of no other mass market oil that is made for long life. Use the Mobil 1 EP.

How long depends on the engine, driving style and climate. PP is not formulated? or sold as a LLO. I would not do over 10K miles without a UOA. In reviewing many excellent PP 5K UOA, it appears that 8-10K may be the limit for most of us,

? or sold as a long-life oil and I would not go much over 10,000 miles without a UOA.

Johnny has said that PP was never designed as a long drain oil, so running it over about 10k is not what its designed to do, so don't expect it to do it.

i would not run any synthetic 15k unless the bottle specifically says to do so. of all the UOA's i've looked at I have not seen anything other than M1 EP or Amsoil SSO that held up good enough that long for me to trust it.

Not all of the 15K+ M1 EP and Amsoil UOAs have looked at the hot either.

Very much usage dependent.

OR....a AC UPF or a fleetguard stratapore if you have one available for your app.

Let me put it this way, not in my car. As has been stated above, never was designed as an extended drain oil and has never been advertised as such. The max I would push it would be 10K and that would have to be under ideal conditions with a UOA after 6K.

that's only valid if you bought a skid's worth, and keep it all in the trunk. the excess of oil keeps the molecules stable.
