Can I use BMW Blue coolant in a Ford?

Cheapest alternative for you in Europe is to buy BASF Glysatin G48. (In the USA it is branded Zerex G48)

Stuff is really inexpensive and easy to obtain in Europe.

I'm not sure there is a point to switching to G48, it's very similar to G40 ( G12++ ) both are HOAT coolants which use Silicates + OAT , the only difference is the colour and that seemingly G48 has a somewhat higher reserve alkalinity?

Because the manufacturers all have their own theories on what works best for X metal , alloy , design etc.


Could be that or it could be just to make you believe you have to use dealer service.
