Can GM key fob be unprogrammed from vehicle?

I gave them an honest and deserved detailed negative google review. We were to get a survey from the dealership in one week. It never showed up.

They might have purposely mistyped your email address. Are you getting any other communications from GM?

with all these screw ups, how do these people at the dealer even put their clothes on in the morning? wow..
and surprise, surprise, no survey for you to fill out about their "service".. I bet if you called GM's customer service or PR dept at HQ they'd love to send you a survey!

Or at least, had it clearly written into the sales contract.
I had something similar happen years ago while buying a new truck. The dealer provided an additional piece of paperwork with my name on it that was clearly printed on it "We owe you." It listed the item in question and was signed off on by the sales manager. It was honored the following week without issue when the part came in.
The owner's manual (website? pdf?) mentions how many keys and valet keys come with the car. Since you paid for an entire car, you get all the stuff in the "packing lists" that are the manual and Monroney label.

As stated in this thread, leaving the dealer with the car, and an incomplete deal, gives up some of the buyer's rights. They make the process 10x more difficult than it has to be to break the customer down and make them willing to accept less than they're due because "it's late", they're tired, etc.

To anyone reading in the future-- if the dealer starts screwing you over, leave your car with its paper plate in their driveway, and catch an Uber home. It's not really "yours" until you hit the public street with it. If it's after business hours, call the manufacturer/ distributor customer service line the next morning and explain how and why the deal hasn't been consummated.

I've heard this before but not sure I believe it. Could it vary by state?

I can’t see any dealer “conspiracy” to “break me down” in my recent case. The dealer and personnel were just incompetent. The fiasco didn’t leave me with “less” and actually cost them money in the long run. “Emotional damage” here? Yes, but far less loose stools than the dysentery i had in S.E. Asia. I’ll live.

I'm not a lawyer, but this stuff surely has twists and turns for certain states.

The Uniform Commercial Code is probably involved albeit with loopholes lobbied for and achieved by the car dealer associations. But if you buy something and take it, you have fewer rights than if you start buying something and refuse it.

Everyone has smart phones, if the dealer starts funny business start googling, start calling people, but don't leave the dealer. The fact that they really, really want you to go means they've researched this.
