My buddy has an 02 Camaro. His blower motor went out last night. Before it went out (the bearings have been on their last legs for awhile now) we noticed it cooled fine (noisily) but the heater was not blowing hot air. What are some places we should start looking? BTW this car has over 100k and last night was the first time the antifreeze has been changed. Could the thermostat possibly be an issue here?

Probably a vacuum leak. If it blows one and then not the other, then there is a problem with an actuator somewhere in "there." Those are tricky to solve.

Well could the thermostat possibly cause this? I'm just looking at the budget options here, lol. Buddy is strapped for cash.

I bet that it's a Dexcool disaster. With the car cold remove the radiator cap. See if it's full of coolant or a disaster. If it's full and clean fire it up and let it warm up.

After it's warmed up feel the heater hoses. See if they are both hot.

No where are the bleeder screws located at?

is this an 8 cyl.? or a 6?..if its an 8 cyl than there arent any bleed screws.. the blend flap on that car is cable actuated not vacuum, so its possible that the cable has broken and the blend flap is stuck..It could be a thermostat issue, but if you guys just changed the coolant than you probably have some air in the system..i just let my'n run without the cap on until the level raises and coolant starts to overflow out of the filler neck, than i put the cap on and let it get fully warmed up. Than after it cools down i check the level again and top off if needed..and thats it..i've never had a problem with my'n getting any air bled out of the system..good luck man
