I have noticed the static charge as well using the CD. I still find the best way to dust a vehicle is by using a micro fiber cloth, submerged in clean water, then wrung out as much as possible, finished up by drying with another micro fiber cloth. Of course, the only vehicle of mine I'm anal about when it comes to being clean is my motorcycle, so it only takes me about 10 minutes to do the whole bike.
