Calcium the main thing for cleaning?

I was looking over some of the values of various oils trying to decide what oil to use for my cars in order to do a little cleaning of old stuff left behind by other oils. I used to take my car to a local shop who just used the cheapest stuff he could get and i ran my oil a bit longer than I prob should have 5k... Anyway I noticed that Calcium is usually representative of cleaning power and the PP PUP and Pennzoil Conventional all have high numbers of it but what was interesting is Quaker State Ultimate Durability Quaker State Synthetic has a decent number and is a great price. Any reason why it wouldn't clean almost as well as PP? I know dispersal like Magnesium is important too but it is not bad either. Quaker State Ultimate Durability 10w30 2,411 calcium and 8 mag compared to PP 2,600 cal and 13 mag. compare this still to Mobil 1 1,161 cal and yes 689 mag but that says it is not as solid on cleaning but it is killer on dispersal of new forming junk. Am I correct in my assumptions here?
 
You could switch it up and use some Valvoline in conventional, Durablend, High Mileage or SynPower. Ashland uses a secret add pack that keeps engines clean and produces some great used oil analysis.

Ashland uses sodium in the add-pack as a detergent.

+1 Lubrizol additive packages i believe.
 
Quaker State Ultimate Durability is an excellent oil, use it with confidence. SOPUS really doesn't make a bad oil. No matter what anyone says Mobil 1, Pennzoil Platinum, Quaker State Ultimate Durability, and Valvoline are all excellent is that clean very well. Yes, technically one must clean better than the rest, but they're all excellent. So use which ever one you like best and your engine will be clean and well protected.

Jake777, if I understand you right, you're correct saying that synthetics lay down less oxidized base-oil junk per mile than cheaper oils out there. Overbased calcium sulfonates are very effective in fighting acid formation and act as detergents, so a lot of that is good in that way. I've seen tech papers where those calcium compounds do reduce effectiveness of anti-wear additives though, so you can't put a lot in oil.
