C&P on K&N select I was using when lifter failure occurred

Here’s a few photos of the K&N select filter that was on my 2014 6.2 Sierra when the lifter dropped about 850 miles ago.
This is actually the second lifter that has dropped running this filter (not blaming just stating).

Idk the mileage that I ran on it because I wasn’t focused on that part of it. I do know I was using supertech 5w30.

I tried to take photos good enough you could see some of the “sparkles” in the filter media because I didn’t plan on cutting it apart.

My question is you had a failure before and only replaced 1, had a failure again and only replaced 1 why?

You should have replaced all lifters. I would expect more failures not too far down the road.

I replaced the entire bank of lifters. The second failure I was out $0 because of parts warranty through GM
Isn't it just a Champ filter? There's some glitter in there. How's everything running now?

Yeah it's not like the other 15 lifters had less miles on them or were somehow in better conditions.
