When looking at oil filter specifications, is it better to have a lower by-pass valve pressure or a higher one?

Of the 3 I usually run on my truck (2008 Silverado 5.3) they are below:

Wix 57060 - 12 psi
AC Delco PF48 - 18-24 psi
Purolator PureOne - 12-15 psi

I'm going to be running Pennzoil Ultra at my next oil change as well (local Autozones stock it)

I like the delco because it's specific to ur Chevy. The higher psi means more oil passes through the filter vs lower psi at say 17 psi oil flow. In ur case, we don't know the exact psi of ur oil flow so we don't know how much more oil passes through the delco media vs the others. My guess would be that there is insignificant difference in those filters for ur application.

If you use a larger oil filter, you can run a lower pressure bypass because the extra filter media will give you a lower PSID if the two filters run the same filter media. The filter I use on my S2000 has three times the filter media that the Wix filter for the S2000 has.
Wix on the right, Honda in the middle and my Baldwin on the left
