I have a Greenlee Voltage Tester that needs (2) new button batteries.
It's the simple "cigar" shape.
Either that or I'm reinstalling them incorrectly.
The original batteries are VINNIC .... L1154
Size: 5.25mm thick x 11.4mm diameter
Voltage:1.5 V

I would like to use Duracell / but can't find an equivalent.
Question:
Should I only be concerned about Size (thickness & diameter) and Voltage ?
I think Duracell 303/357 will be close in size.

Concern:
I would hate to buy an incorrect battery and then be totally confused in the future.

I tried to find a (GOOD) Conversion Chart, but was unable.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Again, I would like to use Duracell.
Thank you.

You do need to match voltage and size.

For Duracell it would be the D303 and D357 battery. Just be aware, the L1154 is an alkaline battery and the D303 and D357 are silver oxide.

The size and voltage do match. The silver oxide should last a bit longer too.

If it takes two stacked, I have seen a lithium version for cameras. Lithium makes 3 volts through the chemistry which is how this happens. Darn if I had a number I could give you though.

If cheap or just convenience is your game, compatible buttons are at dollar tree, under LR44, 357, and a bunch of different numbers. And getting the diameter and voltage right is pretty much how you do it-- the larger/newer CR2032 type cells figured this out and are 2.0 mm thick, 32 mm diameter, so the numbering finally reflects some sort of reality on earth.

The duracell 307s claim "special applications" like medical devices.

I've had a number of cheap LR44 batteries that were DOA and several that leaked. I try to buy within a couple of brands - Maxell mostly. I have a 32 year old HP 15C calculator I still use daily. It uses three stacked LR44's. For that, I spend the extra and get silver oxide. The manual lists a significantly longer lifespan for SO batteries compared to alkaline. I would never go cheap in the HP. It's worth more now than when I bought it - as a collectible. A cheap, leaky alkaline battery would wreck my day.
