Buick dealer want my Regal.

16K, All highway, high speed. 😈
Well here’s the blackbook values on your car with both options selected and the mileage plugged in. Interesting that when I switch back to Arkansas for the region, the value jumps up $200 more.

E-mail this morning from the Buick dealer where I bought my 2017 Buick Regal GS, telling me they will give me 110% current market value on the car trade-in, ain't gonna happen. Went on KBB to check on the trade-in value and they estimate $24K/27K, paid $30K for the car and paid off. Not a mathematician so somebody tell me it's worth.

Great car! Unless you have any issues with it, keep it! Love them. As far as the offer goes, you and every other person in that dealer's data base received the same "Crazy Eddie" offer. I had to call my past Ford dealer to stop the email offers; which they did. BUT then I got a few of the same type offers in the mail!

I've got several of these letters from the dealership that I bought my wife's Outback from. The formula the dealership uses to calculate the value is in the dealership's favor. I believe it includes a pretty steep deduction for mileage.

If the Regal is as you say, a car for your retirement, then there is not much reason to entertain the offer. In today's market, you won't get as nice of a replacement without spending a lot more.

I hit up Carvana and CarMax when I was looking to get rid of my Focus. CarMax beat them by over $2,000. It doesn't sound like you're really wanting to get rid of it, but if you are, check them out before you do anything.

Used to get similar hand signed letters from the local mega chain dealer pre-pandemic.

"We wan't your [insert specific make/model/year]. It's in high demand and we have no/limited supply. We're prepared to pay you an unprecedented amount for it.

Now that they're having to pay unprecedented amounts. No more letters! That's one good thing coming from it.

I still get those letters from the Ford dealership. I wound up selling my F-150 to Carmax for $8k more than the Ford dealer offered me.

You do realize beaters have gone up significantly...don't you? I know there are very rare deals out there-but they are the exception in this market.
Better yet - a beater pickup is totally insane … and mileage does not pull the price down like a few years back …

I got one for my 09 Camry last month.

Like all things in life it's worth what some fool will pay. I've received a few e-mails from the dealership claiming the same 110%, lmao... problem is they are who I bought it from and don't even have the correct model listed. Also got an e-mail from the local/new Hyundai/Kia dealership claiming they want to buy the car they sold me. Yeah really lmao on that as it came direct from Nissan. Of course they didn't answer my very sarcastic *** reply... Those are the types of dealerships I drive slowly through and wait for a few salesman to literally run across the lot for my attention then I roll off rather quickly and wave.
