Briggs & Stratton Tire Sealant

Briggs & Stratton Tire Sealant. Just heard of it. Is it any good for riding lawnmower tire or just something that will foul things up like Slime does?

Preferred method of fixing those flats?

I just added a can of fix a flat to a front ZTM tire. If it gives me any trouble, I’m swapping to airless/solid front tires.

On my mowers I just buy an inner tube. That way even if I hit something with a tire it doesn't go flat.

Did that on the wheelbarrow years ago. No regrets.

I bought aeropak tire sealant last time. It's really thick. They all seam to work good as long as you put a lot in the tire.

I would never again use a tire sealant especially on a tubeless tire. It will eventually ruin the rim because of the heavy corrosion it creates. If it's a puncture on a tubeless tire, I would plug it instead. I have even plugged sidewalls and the tires are still leak free.

Slime is one of the worst.

Explain why Slime is the worst? I have used Slime in tractor, truck, cars and mowers tires over the years, and if it could be plugged, this did it every time. Lady at work pulled a nail out of her tire, put in a quart size of Slime added air then drove the car for 6 months until she got 4 new tires

That is the difference between a good tire sealant and a poor one. We used a product called “Tireseal” made by Texas Refinery Corp. on dozens of tires on our farm and it didn’t corrode anything. I recently broke down a tire that had Tireseal in it for nearly 20 years and the wheel looked new.

Does this new product by Briggs work the same way? Time will tell.

I'd try the LiquidTube sealant before using Slime, Briggs and Stratton or Fix-A-Flat.
