I have for your amusement a Briggs & Stratton 492932S oil filter dissection. Filter was installed on my Cub Cadet with a Kohler 7000 Series 23HP motor. Was in service for 100 hours with Delvac 15W-40 oil used. No idea on COO. Everything seems to have held up fine and ADBV was still pliable and not stiff. Replaced with a John Deer AM125424 filter and more Delvac 15W-40 oil.

Looks decent. As noted, OPE filters as a rule are overpriced. 'If room permits' (not applicable here), 3614 and equivalents automotive filters a much better value.

Thanks for c&p.

No clue. Got it off of either Ebay or Amazon and it came loose with no retail packaging to indicate COO.

Edit: Looked on B&S website and they are showing pictures with a "Made In India" markings on the box. So that is probably it.

I also believe this is correct. The same sized 892421 Filter they advertise for "Big Block" Vanguard Engines is showing as American made and has the added plus of a silicone ADBV. Costs about $2.00 more than the 492932 on Amazon.
