My set were made in Japan as well. I ve seen the new ones Made in Mexico now. No need to call. Just go in and talk to the tire manager and they will hook you up. They have a great satisfaction guarantee plan at Costco. Sometimes the manager might give you some static depending on the store you got it from. Tell them you will call Jim (the owner of Costco) and they will change their mind. There is actually an 1 800 number listed for his office.

The best tire shop in the Bay Area would be Foster City, CA. Pretty easy going there.

I have a set of made in Japan 205/55/16 W rated on a Subaru WRX. I absolutely love the tires except in winter conditions. Thankfully I am running winters this year.

I am at 45k when I removed them before the snow flew and they were still silent, decent in wet and incredible handling at 3/32".

I plan on running them again this coming late spring.

These are great tires! Superb wet/dry handling, track well, fantastic steering response feel and quiet. AA/A rated. They handle light snow just fine. Will replace w/the same tire when the time comes. Do give these tires some serious consideration!
