My typical breakfast is a bowl of a small amount of various grains, often barley, spelt, or oat flakes, sometimes a little roasted buckwheat. I never use any corn-derived grain product. Then there's a handful of nuts and or almonds (not a nut, technically), and some berries (fresh or dried), often blueberries, cranberries, raisins or currants. Basically I use whatever is available and vary the ingredients. I only add milk. I drink 1/2 liter black tea in the morning. If in a rush, I'll have a glass of milk and eat an apple on the fly.

For brunch I prefer a less frugal meal: some kind of eggs, bread, butter, jam, a croissant, OJ -- you get the idea.

What do you usually have in the morning?

Add milk in your mind.

If not called in to work I eat nuthin' for breakfast since I ain't earning any money that day to pay for the food.

If called in I dig into the stock of Slim-Fast bought while on sale, a price-drastically-marked-down sale, and drink a can while reading the notes left for the sub once in the classroom.

Rarely, once in a great while, perhaps every couple years, I head for the smorgyboard all-you-can-shovel-in place where there is a HUGE selection of breakfast fare.

Scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, grease, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, grease, coffee, muffins, country-style taters, grease, and a bunch of other stuff and grease.

I eat until I burp then eat some more then belch then eat just a little more then vomit. Grease.

Good times!!!!!!!

Sounds like what I occasionally eat at Shoneys's on road trips.

Normally its kefir mixed with granola and grouund flaxseeds.

Sometimes an orange, tangelo and bannana.

Always a cup of tea as well, recently its been green chai.

Usually bran flakes with raisins with regular milk. Sometimes bread with non-hydrogenated organic spread with red caviar.

Some days- just coffee.

Most days- a bowl of Uncle Stu's cereal mix- about 1/3 each of Wheat Chex, Spoon size Shredded Wheat, & Cheerios, w/1% milk. Plus coffee.

Once every week or two- eggs(over easy or omelet w/cheese & salsa), bacon or sausage, biscuits or toast. Coffee & grapefruit or V-8 juice.

Cup of coffee, a big glass of water, and a bowl of some kind of oatmeal or whole grain concoction spiked with various goodies (as a general rule).

I'll eat plain old Quaker oats, but Kashi also makes an instant mix I like, as does Old Wessex (the Old Wessex kind being substantially less expensive, but requiring some form of "doctoring" in the way of spice... though I do it eat naked once in a while). A cheap shaker of pumpkin pie spice works great. Right now I have a 3 lb jug of salted almonds that I use along with whatever dried fruit is cheap and a squeeze of honey. Takes maybe 5 minutes total to make (3 minutes are free time if you do it in microwave) and it keeps me full for quite a while.

A couple pieces of multigrain toast; or
A piece of grilled cheese (tasty) on multigrain toast, and another with a spread of choice with butter; or
Baked beans on toast with a little grilled cheese over the top; or
Pan fried mushrooms and a poached egg; or
Baked beans and a poached egg; or
a piece of wholemeal pita with a tablespoon tomato paste, and a sprinkling of cheese, then grilled; or
a toasted baked bean sandwich; or
fried liver on toast (yum, but infrequent); or
something else.

Bacon, egg and Tomato some weekends.

I usually eat a combination of whole grains fruits and nuts and occasional dairy products. My frequent breakfast items include Oatmeal (old fashioned or steel cut, not instant), buckwheat, oat bran, wheat germ, quinoa, flaxseed, blueberries(frozen), raspberries, oranges, apples(red ones), walnuts, non-fat plain yogurt and non-fat plain cottage cheese. Regardless of the combination I eat, I attempt to keep the total calorie count within the 475-550 range. I do not drink fruit juices.

Favorite breakfast is 3 or 4 eggs over easy, salt and lots of black pepper over a pile of shredded, smoked brisket. With biscuits or Texas Toast. On a quiet morning I can actually hear the arteries slamming shut in my chest.

Quesadilla with two poached free range eggs and grilled tomato this morning. World's best breakfast IMO.

Poach the King's eggs at your own risk.

Being drawn and quartered doesn't sound too appetizing.

Usually coffee.

Very rarely will I eat breakfast, if I do at home it's something quick like a chimichanga in the microwave. Once in a blue moon at a restaurant, then typically sausage and eggs or equivalent.

I'm usually not hungry until about 0900 or so and there's generally time to have a quick snack from my lunchbox.
