Hey good day
I did a front brakes job on my car about 3 months ago,

But on slowing down there is a loud screeching. The brakes pads look good, but the rear drum brakes im not too sure.
The rear brakes were replaced last year using OEM shoes.

Its not a grinding noise just a loud screech.

Time to change brakes again? or just a random noise due to my rotors or drums that needs to be machined. (My rotors need to be machined as there is a slight shimmer when mashing the brakes)

Doubtful that the rear brakes are making the noise. From what you said about the "shimmer" (I assume you mean shimmy), it sounds like you did not have the rotors machined or new ones installed when you did the pads so if that's the case then yes, you need to replace the front rotors.

Typically this can be caused by the pads chattering as the brakes are applied. Could be the pins that hold the pad or the pad itself. Some pads will come with, or you can buy separately, a goop you apply on the back of the pad (between the pad and the calliper pucks), that eliminates the problem. The pins should be lubricated lightly or cleaned up of rust or contaminants that might prevent free movement.

It can also be caused by the pins that hold the calliper not moving freely, so the calliper itself is the part doing the chatter.

Some disk brakes are more prone to it than others. It's one of those things ... maybe the location of the calliper on the brake is less than ideal.

It does not mean your brakes are not working assuming you've done a proper pad replacement.
