Brake Noise - only when pads are warmed up

Are all those that are filing down pads re applying the powder coat to stop the metal from rusting?

It's sitting in an unpainted cast iron bracket that rusts so it really doesn't make a difference.

I am a DIYer, but have never had to file a brake pad. Before I did that, I would recheck surfaces and make sure the abutment hardware was correct.
I have also found OE brake components fit really nicely...

Almost worse is the opposite scenario where the pads rattle because they're too loose. Common on GMT800s

I did return those pads. And I was able to verify dims against the old ones which I still had to know I wasn't crazy
