The right/passenger side brake light did not work and cause the warning "Lamp Defective". I changed the bulb and still it did not work. I then swap the working bulb and the white socket from driver side to passenger side, the passenger side did not work but the driver side worked with the failed bulb and socket of passenger side. This means both bulbs and sockets are good, what could be the problem ?

The bulb number is 7225 with two filaments, one filament for parking light and the other filament for stop light.

How did you change the bulb socket? Does it have a short pigtail that plugs into another harness?

I fixed it. The metal contact on the socket did not make a full contact with the light assembly, I bended the contact by about 20 degree and it makes a good contact with the light assembly.

The rear light assemblies of MB are not normal type, it likes a circuit board, a 5 pin wire connector is plugged to the light assembly, 3 light bulbs (parking, stop and turn) in sockets are plugged to the light assembly, no wire is connected directly to individual bulb socket.
