I had to do a double take when I seen this on the shelf at Menards.

Okay, I could see a gas station/convenience store private-labeling something like brake fluid, engine oil, etc but why would Menards sell it ?

The branding is obviously weird for a house brand at another retailer. I've seen house brands at consolidators though. But this seems to be available for wholesale purchase by discounters like independent dollar stores.

I'm not sure who makes it, but years ago I remember looking through the API EOLCS directory and seeing that 7-Eleven had its own entry. Obviously they had a supplier and they weren't upfront about who it was, but a lot of retailers used to have house branded motor oil including supermarkets. I even remember once finding Pennzoil PZL-Turbo 10W-30 at a supermarket and buying a case for my dad.

As for 7-Eleven, I see their branded motor oil is co-branded with Lucas Oil and uses the Lucas Oil API license.
