brake fluid for my car?

Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum, this is my first question for you guys.
I'm looking for brake fluid for my 1989 MR2 s/c, I was wondering what you guys would suggest for me. I've heard good things about Motul, but I was wondering what else is available.
I drive my car pretty hard, though not on the track. The OEM stuff have now is pitch black, and it wasn't changed that long ago.

I have used nothing except Prestone DOT 4 since the 60's. I run the same fluid years at a time and never see any problems.

Any good brand name fluid that meets the spec in your owners manual. No need to bother with the higher grade stuff unless you are doing track days or having problems.

Just change it every couple of years.

I think the best fluid for its money is from ATE. And even that is an over kill for street driving. If you want an off the shelf fluid go for Castrol LMA or the Valvoline.

Agree with Wrangler. Ate Super Blue and Typ 200 are good for the track, with Motul 600 a step above that, and twice as much $. Castrol SRF is the ultimate, and ~$50/liter if I remember correctly.

BUT for the street as Wrangler said Valvoline or Castrol LMA or practically any DOT 4 will be just fine.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I talked it over with the guys at my speed shop and decided that RBF 600 was way overkill for a light(er) car such as mine, and I went for Motul 5.1. I'm considering doing some track, so this stuff should hold up nicely.
Mind you, I was changing the pads in the back and unfortunately the driver's side piston seized and the caliper just fell apart on the passenger side. Both seals around the pistons were cracked as well. What began as a very simple, ~$200 job turned into a two-day, PITA ~$500 job. All that to say that that is probably how I went through my brake fluid so quickly.

I'm running ATE Typ 200 in an Lexus LS400. Best fluid money can buy, IMO.
