I have been looking for a 60's era Chevy pickup for quite some time now. The prices have gone nuts so I had to have patience and I still spent more than I wanted to but I finally got myself a classic truck.

It'a a '63 C10 shortbed stepside with a straight six and three on the tree. There's not a cupholder or airbag in sight! The truck will never be a show winner and has a few warts but will be just fine as a summer weekend driver.

Miles on the odo?
What's that ignition?
Pre '67 single circuit brakes....love the hand brake lever.
Woah...under dash gauge 'cluster' (blocked by steering column).
There's room for an aftermarket AC system! Swap in a carbon fiber driveshaft.
Don't forget the lift kit, rear disc brake conversion, electric fan conversion, bagging the suspension, LED units in the hood's vent holes, bed liner...

I like it!
Now all you need is an LS-7 swap, or a 572, 5 speed, a/c, and she will be ready. Maybe some Cragar SS rims, BF GOODRICH tires......(j/k-it looks great just as is ;) )
It looks just like the truck in the movie series TWILIGHT.

Love the color. That's a sweet truck! My best friend's father restores classic cars as a business (mostly air cooled VWs) but he had a bunch of old Chevy trucks when we were kids. Some that stood out were a 1966 Camper Special 4x4, and a late 60's Suburban.

Aus, that is just the way you want it IMHO. That is a fine ride. Hearing from my friends down south, many of these (at least the ones that are left) are being pulled out of the junkyards for restoration. A surprising number of them are being loaded in containers and sent overseas where they are being restored. Who would have ever thought American classics like these would now be new imports.

If you ever need any parts, these guys seem to have top notch recognition for quality. https://www.brotherstrucks.com/

Nice, I would keep it just as it is, well maybe a dual circuit brake system from a later model so it look period but I am paranoid about single circuits.

Love the style of the dash and panel.

There is something about a 6 Cyl and a 3 speed ! I had a 79 F150 with a 6cyl and a 3 speed it was magic. I would love to go for a ride !
