bought a new truck!

My dad and I bought a 1960 Ford F100 short wide pickup for $800. Body is really rough, but it runs. I don't know what engine it has because I haven't seen the truck in person, but I will find out tomorrow because I have to get the title and registration taken care of. I suspect it has one of the following 223 I6, 272 "Y" block V8,or a 292 "Y" block V8. It looks very rough, but short wide box third generation F series pickup trucks are very rare!
Wish me luck on restoration. I will upload a video to this thread or a picture for you guys in a day or two.

Im pulling for the 292 "Y" as my '64 F-250 had one.

I know Ford had a 289 V8 back then as I had one in my Mustang. But unsure of trucks.

Well I was out there coordinating with the seller and I peeked under the Hood. Here's what I found... 1971 Ford fairlane 302 V8, C6 automatic transmission, and it was retrofitted with power steering. Again I will try to upload pics as soon as I can.

thats great, getting a "new" truck is ALWAYS good. that verson is very good looking. lots of potential.
