A 2021 Toyota Highlander hybrid Platinum AWD…. In the elusive to SoCal interior color of glazed caramel. With the blizzard white exterior

the trade-in for my 2016 Tiguan with 145,000 miles made it balance out

Congrats!

What prompted you to trade in the Tiguan?

Let us know how the Highlander works out over the next year, especially gas mileage-wise.

Any major issues with the Tiguan in 145K? Nice pick on the new ride. Keep that white paint washed and protected, it has a history. Not sure if they ever fixed it.

Wow, beautiful Highlander. You are gonna love it. Hybrid is the way to go.

I didn't know there were any new cars available in CA...

It was starting to burn oil again....after the used engine got installed 40,000 miles later....

Plus a larger, more fuel efficient car is better for ski trips

Nice car. I think it was smart to get out of the tiguan. That mileage is risky for a VW.
My old Passat I got rid of it at 217,000 miles... with the original clutch... was burning a lot of oil, also timing belt and intake valve cleaning was also due...

The HiHy AWD will make a better ski car than the Tiguan 4Motion, I think... for hauling people and gear, and not to mention the 35 mpg combined.

Per CareCareNut, I implore you to use 0W16 with 5k mile OCI.

I use a fluid extractor Harbor Freight version of Mityvac. The oil filter can stay for a few OCIs. This will ensure clean low tension piston rings, and stave off oil consumption.

You will enjoy the drivetrain. D4-S. eCVT. AWD. Magic carpet ride.

See my signature as substantiation !

Congratulations.....
I got to get a new car someday myself. Great interior.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaang

That interior color is nice! And the hybrid is legit too.

I'm a big fan of interiors other than black as well, looks good. I had to have my wife's Edge shipped in to get the lighter leather but it was worth it.
