For my 2015 CBR300R. The ten year old Yuasa YTX7L-BS wasn't able to crank the engine over well when I got the bike out of winter hibernation.

I have a Midtronics PB200 Conductance tester and the Yuasa tested at 140 CCA when it was new. Both the Yuasa and the Mighty Max are rated at 100 CCA. The ten year old Yuasa tested at 80 CCA.. The new MIghty max tests at 125 CCA.

The best price I found on the Mighty Max was $32.78Cdn at Home Depot, of all places! Lowest price on the Yuasa is $91Cdn on Amazon. Considering the price difference, I think it makes sense to go with the Mighty Max and replace it more often, say every four years.

Date of manufacture is Sept 23, so the battery sat for a year and a half before I got it. Voltage was 12.76, so it did not self-discharge much in storage.

Anyone have any experience with the Mighty Max?

For that price i'd try it too. I've only used their 6v batteries but they lasted me a long time and was pleased with them. Hope the 12v is as good as the few 6v ones I've had. The fact that it lost almost nothing voltage in that time isn't a negative if anything it's gonna be good. Very very little internal resistance.

I've made "dead" bike batteries last all summer by bump starting and letting the stator do the rest. It's just a tiny starter motor and crank that they really can last a long time, but I wouldn't complain about 10 years.

Mighty Max is a label but the batteries are made by Brava. So maybe a China or Malaysia COO, who knows.

Also, AGM chemistry is different so a full open circut charge is above 12.6V...maybe 13V. Regardless, it's fine so send it.

AGM Voltage.webp

I put one in my Can Am Spyder several years ago but sold the bike about a year or so later. It worked for me and If I needed a new batt today, I'd get one again. From previous reading, quite a few bikers use them with good results.
