This is what I tell anyone looking to buy a 5th gen. It's a nightmare to replace the correct way. I still have the original in my 2010 SS with 116k but I know it's going to fail eventually.Nice! Weekend fun indeed!
Did you check the temperature control? Broken blend doors are a common issue on those.
Auto. Knee replacement last fall and living in Minneapolis won't allow a manual right now.Nice. Drivetrain ??? Be diligent. Ive heard red cars attract the police.
2 or 3 years. Then will consolidate life, prior to retirement. How long will you keep it?
Everything seems to be fine. I had the A/C on today, as it hit 83..Nice! Weekend fun indeed!

Have fun! (And check the rearview mirror).2 or 3 years. Then will consolidate life, prior to retirement.
Might as well go aftermarket if you need to change the gaskets. Tune that baby! Just give a heads up to the next buyer so they can fix any issues that arise.2 things I need to do:
a. Factory exhaust is junk. I might as well be driving a LeSabre. Probably getting a Borla Touring replacement.
b. Will probably get a tune, to optimize transmission, fuel trim, etc. Couple of good shops in Minneapolis.
I had to change them on my 05 Cadillac STS when I had it.. First step in the service manual was to remove the rear seat, second was to remove the front seats and center console... Whole dash and the aluminum carrier had to be moved back to get to a couple of them. That car was a mantinence nightmare in general. This is what I tell anyone looking to buy a 5th gen. Handsome car, love the wheels, and the decent profile tires.
