Ah yes, foreign languages can be tricky, isn't that so? Since surely most of us here are at least bilingual, we surely can attest to that!

Now, let me ask you this, oh wise ones, why may "canned fruit" come not only in cans but also in glass jars? And don't try playing semantics, because I do know the correct answer. Give it a whirl, will ya?

Why does canned fruit come not only in cans but also in jars? Well, the process used is called "canning" regardless of the type of container that is used. I guess the verb "to jar" was already taken.

Now, do you prefer canned or bottled Coke?

I like bottled Coke, but you can only get it in the 'hispanic' section of your grocery store these days.
The plastic containers are not the same thing as 'bottled' Coke.

Coke sells their wares in 375ml glass bottles to the resteraunt trade.

It's a much nicer product poured out of glass.

You know, I really am not sure if those were 0.5 or 0.3 liter bottles. I know they used to have smaller ones in restaurants and hotels...

The worst Coke I ever had was in a restaurant in the Austrian Alps. There was a bunch (litter, flock, shoal, pack?) of snails at the bottom of the bottle. Eeeek!
