BOSTON — There have been explosions near Boston Marathon’s finish line.
A Boston Police communications officer said the location is at 673 Boylston.

I haven't seen anything yet that says what caused it. Probably premature to say it is a bomb unless you heard something I haven't? Could be a gas line or any number of things, or, it could be a bomb. Too many crazy people in the world. I hope it wasn't some type of terrorist attack.

Saw that the police were reporting suspicious packages. Picture on the news shows a large fireball.
Three dead.

12 dead according to the NY Post.
I just heard on the radio that 2 additional bombs were discovered and are being dismantled by authorities.
Boston PD press conference just concluded. Three devices confirmed, two at the Marathon and one at JFK Library at Dorchester. One controlled explosion of a suspicious package done by a bomb squad.
JFK library may just be a fire in the mechanical room, per the JFK library staff. Still investigating.
Casualty count varies. Last count I heard was 8 patients at Brigham & Young Women's Hosp; 18 at Mass General; 14 at Tufts.

They said 5 in total (bombs). Probably some wackos or loosely poorly organized terror cell. My guess is some home grown Al Qaeda followers. Since they had 5 devices and only 2 went off they can't be a very well trained group. Plus the placement was not good. Novices at best. Thankfully.
Sad day but this had to be totally expected, it was only a matter of time.

There is defiantly something wrong with our culture. More and more events like this are occurring and its not slowing down.
There have always been nutjobs and wars throughout history. This is nothing new. It has happened before and will happen again.

LOL and north korea spews more rhetoric. I think after the incident today, patience with them from the American public is running thin. They may want to keep their mouths shut.
