Another filter from getawheel. Didn’t note what this was off of. Says “Honda” circled near country of origin.

top end cap/ADBV separated soon as I opened and tried to remove element. Call me anal or nuts, but Purolator needs either: A. Better quality control/supervision or B. Stronger glue! Rant over

He said top end cap/ADBV separated as soon as he took the cap of. The glue is not holding the filter together.
That's the end cap with the bypass valve in it, not the ADBV. The ADBV is the rubber piece on the base end of the filter.

I dont think we mean the ADBV itself but the end cap on that side of the filter.
The end caps are potted into the pleats and are not suppose to come off. But Purolators seem to do this more than any other brand seen here.

The end cap on the ADBV side is still attached in the photos. The end cap with the bypass valve is the one that popped off.

Maybe 53'stude is confused. Hes been opening alot of oil filters lately. Those where his words. May have came off later. I dunno.

Yes, 'Stude said "top end cap/ADBV separated soon as I opened and tried to remove element".

But he obviously meant "top end cap/bypass valve".

Yup. That end cap right there with the bypass valve. I would've called that end the bottom end cap but whatever.

He did have another C&P where the end cap on the ADBV (Base End) is did come of so likely was confused. I could've used better wording. Lol I plan on doing two oil changes tomarrow. One is a puro red can other is a champion cos3614. Lete see if there end caps come apart.

I was confused or used wrong words 🤣

Compared to Puro's other issues, end caps falling off isn't a huge deal. Munched ADBVs, torn media, closed louvers, are much worse! I always laugh when AAP tries to sell me filters, they clam up when I ask where the Ultras went!
They don't tell you that the "Titanium" took it's place since it's an AAP exclusive "Ultra" ?
