I thought they were made by Purolator?

And Tata owns Jaguar. Do a cut and judge for yourself or take at look at the ones already done.
Let's put it this way. Bosch filters for North American and Japanese applications are Puros; I believe there were close to a P1 clone. The Bosch filters for a German application are an entirely different animal, much closer to what you'd see from Mann for a German application, too.
There are a couple more Bosch filters in 53' Stude's mailbox that I'm sure he will cut when he's DGAR
He's cut a couple recently, and one had a slight sharkbite on the ADBV and the other one looked great. Personally I don't see the issue of a slight slice especially when the filter mount is open-end-up, but hey, to each his own. It IS a manufacturing defect that has not been addressed well, but the rest of the filter has seemed pretty good.
