Both make cat-backs for the M5. Trying to figure out IF (still on the fence) I go with a cat-back on the car, which one I should go with.

Borla:

Magnaflow:

This one shows stock and then Magnaflow:

You don't need to watch the whole thing. The first couple of minutes spells it out pretty good.

Thoughts?

I'm thinking I like the Magnaflow better. The Borla is REALLY quiet.....

I had Borlas on my Mustang and they sounded amazing. Deep and burbly.

My buddy had Magnaflows on his (same year) Mustang and they sounded a little more raspy, but still good.

My other buddy had Borla on his GTI, damaged his exhaust in an accident, and switched to Magnaflow, and I think the Borlas sounded a little better. I like that deeper sound.

They are both excellent quality.

I tend to agree with SteveSRT8, I think the Borla system is better built, but I do favor the sound of the Magnaflow.

Sound and never having to replace it I hope. The OEM setup still looks immaculate under the car.

I would think the Borla setup would be heavier? At least it looks like it would be.

Both appear to be quiet unless you are on it.

The Dinan is twice the price of the Borla. Not worth it IMHO.

The Eisenmann setup sounds a lot like the Magnaflow. But appears to be louder at idle and light throttle.

I really liked how the Magnaflow kit sounded in the last video I posted.

I'd imagine the factory system is pretty well engineered with factory true duals with an x-pipe? I think the stock system sounded perfect. Lightly throaty but not obnoxious. If not, then the Borla with a resonator sounded like stock but a little louder.
