Body trim adhesive

What is a good adhesive for gluing on a metal trim piece? My wash rag got under this today and it came off.

Check with a body shop supplies vendor, 3M makes a very good 2-sided trim tape

^^^^ This! I'd use regular JB Weld so it won't ever come off again.

3M Automotive VHB. Surface prep is everything. The bond will outlast the vehicle.
