Based on the liquimoly TuV sheet, it seems their MoS2 reduces wear better than BN. However, their rep mentioned BN(Ceratec) is better than MoS2/Motor Protect.
I know Bn is better because it is suitable for diesel too because no issue with sulphuric acid generation that may happen with MoS2.
However is there any other reason why BN is better ?
Is it just because BN now is cheaper than Moly, where China does not control the market and dictate the price ?

I assume for manual transmission, the MoS2 should be more suitable and handle load better due to no combustion process, is that a correct assumption ?
Thank you.

The absolute LAST thing you want to put in ANY manual transmission is a compound such as MoS2. It's great for protecting gears, but its friction reducing characteristics could cause shifting problems as it plates the synchronizer cones which require a certain amount of friction to work correctly.

Gear oil needs no additives, generally speaking.

I am wondering if MoS2 is still applicable in certain concentration since Liquimoly still recommend MoS2 on motorbike with wet clutch even though on the lower amount

Moly in a manual trans will help all sorts of things.
BUT, a very important function is the synchronizers, and they need friction to operate well.
Moly in a trans can backfire if you lose enough synch friction, and it is tough to remove 'plated' moly from parts.

Motorcycle clutches and sychronizers have some leeway, so we might get away with a little moly.
Is it worth it? Maybe.. a vehicle that is on the highway a lot is the best candidate [not much shifting] - but it is a chance to put it in!

lubegard raises moly by at leaset 5-600ppm same with boron im this additive.i just found this out from chemist at lubegard.he would not tell me the voa of this product.and best of all,its an organic moly!!
