Six sets? Haven't these only been out for like 12 months?!


Six sets of tires in 80k miles since purchase new in August 05. Brands include Hankook, Goodyear, Toyo, etc.

The PSS are overwhelmingly superior in every way to any tire I have had yet on this platform.

I'm partial to Alpine White M3's, especially with Imola or Cinnamon leather interior (such as mine, lol).


PSS's really are unbeatable tires, eh? I have forgotten a number of times to bring my track wheels with R-comps with me to, well, the track, yet the PSS's are only about 2sec slower overall (and that's on staggered 19" LM's or Kinesis wheels, running 255 and 285 section width F/R, instead of 265 and 275 F/R on 18x9.5F and 18x10.5R).
Yeah, they're impressive tires!

In fact, since going from a Brembo Trophy 4whl BBK (6/4, 365f/348r 2pc), to a proper Performance Friction kit (6-piston monoblock front calipers w Titanium pistons + anti-knockback springs clamping 380x38mm 2pc floating slotted rotors, and 4-piston monoblock calipers in rear clamping 355x32mm 2pc floating rotors)...
The PSS's are the only street tires, as in REAL STREET TIRES (not some 80-treadwear "street legal, technically" tire), that aren't completely overpowered by the brakes. Nor are they overpowered by the suspension, regardless of how tightened up it is.


MOST impressive is that you give up, oh, MAYBE 5% of total grip in the pouring down rain!

Do Bridgestone Potenza RE-11A come in your size? If so I'd suggest giving them a shot. Best tire I've ever used and more relate-able to your platform, several folks on one of the Cadillac V Series forums said it's a touch better than PSS and definitely cheaper.
