BMW N55 best filter

For the BMW N55 3.0 turbo motor, what is the best or recommended oil filter? In Canada options are limited. Mann and Mahle are available however I understand country of origin is a big factor and won't know that if ordering on line. Also K&N, Napa Gold and Fram UG are available. The Fram UG appears to have a lot fewer pleats than others and $20 for a filter is getting stupid.

They're not outrageous at the dealer. I order online.

Where are you buying? Try Partsource, since they seem to do okay. Also, Autopartsway's Canadian site does fairly well, too. When I ordered filters for the Audi from them, they were always legitimate, Euro filters.

I like mahle, though mann was OE on mine.

Mann you buy in a yellow/green box is made in Mexico, in a BMW box is made in Germany.

Baldwin is my go to filter now, every one I've gotten has been made in the U.S.

Any OE manufacturer will work fine. Even a Mann made in Mexico is still a good filter.

Mann, Mahle, Hengst, Purflux, or Wix. The OEM is most likely Mann or Mahle.
