I have just read thru every thread I could find about ESSO LT 71141. I just have one question. Bavauto.com sells an ATF with the part #G 052 162 A2. The 1 liter container says Pentosin ATF1. Does Pentosin put ESSO LT 71141 in these 1 liter containers?

Try a drill operated pump from your local hardware store. They run less than $20 and vinyl tubing is inexpensive.
Or, use a pump for gear oils that's less than $10 but the drill pump is much faster.

I use a funnel connected to a ATF-compatible hose when changing transmission fluid on my BMWs--certainly a lot easier than trying a handpump underneath the car. I leave the funnel in the area of the brake master cylinder and just pour the amount needed.
Valvoline Technical Directer issued a letter stating MaxLife and their Mercon V were tested and recommended for that spec.
Kragen has those pumps that goes on top of either quart or gallon jugs. You just pump it like those hand soaps. But I like the idea of using a funnel to a hose. You can buy some heater hose from auto parts store and just connect it from funnel to the transmission fill hole. I'm not sure how the BMW automatics are set up, but on the VW sealed transmission (01M) the tube method works fine.
