"Blue" Smoke, is it Oil

Ok the T-bird developed an issue a little weird hadnt particularly noticed. Firstly, it rained -hard- last night for hours. I started her up, and i saw a fair amount not Huge amount of "Blue" Smoke may have been grey but it was Medium grey, Blueish looking. Stopped after 5 minutes or so, maybe less.

Exhaust smelled like Exhaust, I am not up on my Smoke Signals but if i recall...

White = Coolant, Head Gasket
Black is Gasoline
Anything Else = Oil Burning?

Car ran ok but this is a new one, what do you think this is?

96 T-bird 4.6 215,000 miles

Blue is usually oil.

Sounds like bad valve seals/guides, leaking down overnight.

Is this the car that has had a couple of different oil additives.

Yes, it does. 4.6s are notorious for valve seal problems.

Yes.

I got my SuperTech all ready to go, about to get that Oil mix out Tomorrow

Has some Intense cleaning, could it just be all that coming out?

Probably oil burning, I had the same issue in my old truck. I tried a few different oils and had the best results getting oil consumption reduced by using MaxLife 10W40.

This may be a fluke event.
If it continues, it is almost certainly the valve guide seals.
I had our mechanic at work replace the valve guide seals in one of our fleet CVPIs that was blowing an incredible amount of blue smoke, based upon advice I got here.
Totally cured the problem.

Forget about it unless this is a chronic problem!
