Morning,

I've never bought tires on Black Friday...are the sales generally very good?

Going to make a last minute decision on tires for my Tahoe

Thanks.

VIP tire here at one point did a B2G2 free "with lifetime alignment" that cost $150 or so.

For a tank like a Tahoe that takes $250 tires you could clean house with such a deal.

I would watch ebay with a 15% coupon and buy the tires when they're cheap, even if you'll install them when the snow flies.

Even B&M stores will do carry-out if you say you're there for the sale and pinky sweaer you will be back later for mounting.

What tire size does your Tahoe take?

I tried to get tires on Black Friday at Discount Tire and the store was overwhelmed with customers. I could have stood in line
for an hour and came back the following week to have them installed I guess.

The sales at Discount Tire aren't what they use to be since the founder passed away.

In reality, many tire chains have different sales year round. Presidents day, New Years, Yom Kipper, 4th of July.. .

Wife has gone out last couple of years on Black Friday. A few places have pushed back the hours into (red?) Thursday. She doesn't go wild though, actually northern NH isn't known for wild and crazy people. Her call--I generally hate shopping and want nothing to do with shopping when everyone else is shopping.

I've gotten some good DTD tire deals in the past on BF. I could use at least one set of snow tires this fall so I plan to watch.

The Tahoe takes 265-76-16. I am currently at 7/32 on one pair, 8/32 on the other (Firestone Destination LE2). They've worn quickly, I doubt I'll get 30k out of them. It isn't a daily driver anymore currently, so I'm torn. I put on about 11-12k per year. Probably will just leave them, as I plan on unloading it next spring. All signs seem to point to a milder midwestern winter this year...

Simpletire.com has a 15% off sale through tomorrow, but I don't want to pull the trigger right now.

As far as I know DT can take order two weeks prior to Black Friday. When I was buying on the Black Friday I got that price but I ordered with manager like 5-10 days earlier. I came in for installation week after holiday.
