Is this country wide or is my franchisee sticking it to me?

You mean you actually put that garbage into your mouth? Did you lose a bet with someone? Perhaps take a dare while intoxicated?

Maybe this will be a reason to eat something that more closely resembles real food.

hey Pops, lay off us fatties. we like our fast food and it's a free country.

don't go to BK much, but yes, as I recall the last time I went there (more than 6 months ago...) their "Value Menu" was not all $1...I think you went to the wrong establishment

Only McDonald's I know of has the "Dollar Menu" adage still in place

Granted, I like BK food better than McDonald's....I like the whole "flame broiled" aspect.

Popped in there for a mushroom swiss burger (gross, and $2) and the manager recognized me as a "used to be in all the time" customer. She mentioned that even though it wasn't on the menu board, they still made single stackers, and they were still a buck.

Also read BK is in serious issue and this "all new menu" is a desperate attempt. The Whopper(tm) remains, so it's not that all new.

Maccas down here has the $1 cheeseburger thing going...max 4.

Wonder how Hungry Jacks (Fungry's) will go sans BK, who gave them the franchise then tried to sue them out of it later.

Tell me about it. I remember going to Wendy's and buying two #1's(wife and myself) both medium and an order of Chili. Used to be like $12(this was roughly 2 years ago). I went on Saturday and its $20!! I could get a real meal from a Diner or Restaurant for $10 a piece and a little more for drinks and a tip.

The price of fast food is horrible.

Went to BK a couple weeks ago with the kids, the $1 menu is alive and well, here at least.

I too have noticed how burger sizes are smaller on the cheap menu. Gotta eat 6 of 'em to equal 1 Whopper.

Hardees still has 2 Bacon, egg, cheese biscuits for $2.50. Up 50 cents, but not a bad value.

Burger solution: if you have a Sonic nearby, 5 burgers for $5.95 on Tuesday nights, up 95 cents, but still waaaaay cheaper compared to the rest of the week. Combining them Makes two good double burgers and one sjngle burger. Not bad for around $6 every so often when you're on a budget or not working.

The Sonic near me used to be SOOOOO GOOD when it opened. Now it seems every time I go, the burgers come out cold along with the Chili-Cheese TOTS

The price is creeping up. The only fast food I eat is tim horton's wraps. I get a tuna wrap and a egg salad wrap, they are 1.99 each, and a small coffee.

The BK near my home is inedible.

Up here, at least, BK has a 'value sandwhich' everyday for $1.99.

It changes everyday, but I think $1.99 for a full-size Whopper (wednesday) is a good deal.....

Thats why people need to avoid fast food. These days you can get a fast food combo meal for the same price as real food off a real menu. The only fast food place I will go to is Taco Del Mar. I can get my meal made in front of me Subway style in about a minute. For $5.42 (tax included) I have been getting a killer Mondo Burrito that is hard to finish vs. a McDonalds meal that has way more fat and calories and yet Im still hungry... Ive done their 50 nugget Sunday special in one sitting and I didnt feel VERY over ate full. Unlike my cheaper burrito.

Im with you, i just went through a Wendys drive through craving a double cheese.. got my boy the dollar menue nuggets, we split the fries from my combo ! all was right in the world right ?? WRONG.. the exact same 99cent i always get are now $1.50 (the nuggets and package are still the same) just a 50% price hike, but what got my blood boiling was my burger.. its 100% different and not in the good way, the patties are indeed thicker, and taste like garbage, the bun is now toasted ? um just tasted oiled down.. and im still not a fan of the new fries that came out about a year or so ago.. i miss Wendys fries, and the REAL double cheese i used to get.. Guess im done with Wendys now
