Back in 1997 I was a part of the f-body mailing list (for Camaro and Firebird owners) and they had a huge meetup for the members in Memphis. It was a few days of drag racing, road course fun and dinners out plus lots of drinking at the hotel I believe over 150 people came from all over the US and a few of us from Canada too. I made some friends there that I still talk to these days (thanks to Facebook). I went again in 1998 as well. It was interesting to put a face to the names. In particular I remember one guy who was a real agitator on the internet who was the most mild mannered guy in real life. That was unexpected

I was just looking at my wall map of my thousand mile per week, 23 day, cross country bicycle ride in 1996. I spent the night in Greenville! The entire group I rode with thought some of the most peaceful roadways and respectful motorists were in South Carolina. Honestly!

On the flip side, the state we all thought were were going to die in.....I won't say because I don't want to offend anyone.

I wish I could make it, but at age 72 I'm no longer able to ride 3,000 miles in 23 days.

I'm in. Greenville has some nice places to meet downtown. Nice on Saturday when they close the main street area. Hard to find parking though. Restaurant that is "top of the falls" is nice place to meet (right by the river park) and close to the peace center.

Falls Park on the Reedy is beautiful.

There are some people on here that I don't want to meet. And I'm sure the feeling is mutual.

I have met three members through the years. They have all been excellent.

Even if someone was not, my skin is really thick. Just meeting someone I don't care for is no where near enough to rattle me. In a group meetup, there is always someone else to talk with.
