BITOG meet and greet (Southeast Region US)

As I sit here contemplating life after my 4th cup of coffee, watching the snow fall on the back deck, I was thinking about happy times when the weather warms up. Also thought it might be a good time for some of us BITOGers to meet up somewhere and put faces to avatars. I am a totally crappy planner and why I have a wife as my "cruise director". However, if it doesn't turn into some huge, multi-faceted planning boondoggle, I would be down for meeting around my area (Greenville SC) or travel within a reasonable distance. Say, Charleston, Gatlinburg, Atlanta, Charlotte etc. I figure sometime in June timeframe might be good as kids are out of school and a detour on a family trip for some may be doable. Just throwing it out there for anyone interested.

Back in 2005 I helped coordinate a meet and greet in Cassville, Missouri (which was the most centrally located area for everyone) For a Suzuki GS-based motorcycle forum. Was a very large undertaking, but meeting everyone and putting faces with names, talking, etc, made it worth it.

Great idea! I’m in Indian Land, SC (Fort Mill.). Basically a suburb of Charlotte. My cousin and his family live in Greenville, SC. About an hour and 15 minutes or so (depending on traffic.)

I'm in. Greenville has some nice places to meet downtown. Nice on Saturday when they close the main street area. Hard to find parking though. Restaurant that is "top of the falls" is nice place to meet (right by the river park) and close to the peace center.

I went to a group meeting for a Motorcycle forum, over 20 years ago. I'm still in regular contact with most, and I am happy to call them friends. Unfortunately, several have since passed away. Time waits for no one.

If someone makes an official date and location, I'm sure those who can and would like to, will attend.
