I feel like it's trying to be spun as BITOG is shaming lack of US production, but from what I read that is inaccurate.

BITOG concensus is that Chinese and Vietnamese filters are presently higher quality than US-built filters.

So, one could argue that BITOG would like to see US-built filters improve quality, but *I* personally haven't seen much call for that. Most people are chasing the Ring of Fire filters at the moment because they are better.

Plus, Jalopnik? Really? Who cares? They just grab anything auto related from the ether because they need content of any kind to try to show they're relevant. The forums have some good tech but the "reporting" is just "we need something to write about"

They also spend their own money...
