An excellent article from Blackstone Labs. Read the UOA at the bottom of the article. I am certain the guy was using WVO and not biodiesel. But some excellent points were brought out. I will have a UOA in a month of my 95 running B100. Also, one of our members is going to do a test of my homemade biodiesel as soon as my batch is made. Give me a couple weeks to get the biodiesel to him and then get the results.

Given the increase in oil viscosity, I'd agree that it's WVO.

The amount of washing for even the crudest biodiesel should get the salt out.

Shannow,

Excellent points on the viscosity and sodium. I do a mist wash first, then I do 3 more bubble washes.
