Interesting development. Nascar is in reverse when it comes to technology. It's good to see others giving something new a try.
Maybe I am missing something:

The thread title is a bit misleading.....had me going!
Nothing wrong with biolubes - I just thought they would be in real Le Mans and the race, too.

Not the same at all. Mobil 1 is the most widely used motor oil in NASCAR by a significant margin. That is not even close to the same as the Bio green stuff which is not used any race cars.

I agree,M1 is in more than 50% of the NASCAR series cars.

To be really green the race should be cancelled . But the whole Green thing is a marketing ploy for the dumbest of the mass consumers .

It is, but there are good elements to it. Checks & balances. What is wrong with capitalizing on the movement? Is that American?

I guess but it is a false security type of thing. Driving a full size SUV with green oil isn't a whole lot of green for example.
