Dang, I did not know he died? I was in Alaska for the last part of June and most of July. No way to get news except NPR radio.

I was watching some of the pitchmen shows before that, so sad.

I'm going to have to try some of that cocaine. This man has been dead over a month and he is still going strong pitching his products on television.

He always acted high on tv..

That would be a pitch....

"Look at this poor tired soul! He works a 100 hours a week and is exhausted! Just a little scoop of yayo and he's back in the GAME! Look at him with his friends, enjoying speed metal and drinking jagermeister like a girly shot! IF YOU CALL NOW YOU WILL GET EXTRA BAM POWDER JUST FOR MENTIONING THIS COMMERCIAL!!!!!"

It's dirty laundry. It could have "contributed" to his heart disease like too many pounds of bacon (or whatever) did when he was a teenager. Accurate, but hardly an honest and candid evaluation of the impact.

I like your sense of humor.

I got a kick out of occasionally seeing his commercials.

I'm sorry the guy died, he was entertaining and Oxi-Clean is a good product. But, I can't help thinking he would be amused by the whole process himself if he were alive to see it.

Quote:
Mays' funeral was held on July 3, 2009 in his hometown of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania where he was buried. The pallbearers for the funeral wore blue shirts and khaki pants at the funeral, much like Mays wore when he advertised his products.[28] According to KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, he was buried wearing a shirt with the OxiClean logo on it.

It's not for me to say whether it was right or wrong. It didn't seem to limit his success and functionality. I'm only questioning the medical examiner's motives.

Cocaine could have been among a list of 35 other things that aggravated or contributed to his heart disease ..yet it was expressed in a manner that gave it a (dis)honorable mention as the runner up for primary cause of death. He could have just as easily said "Billy Mays sex life contributed to his death" ..even if it was only with his wife.

If the examiner was zealous about smoking, and Billy smoked ..yet had a bona fide heart defect, the medical examiner would most likely put that out there just to satisfy HIS desires in furthering his pet agenda "while I'm there". People are funny (George Thorogood "I dunno, man ..my old lady is kinda funny" .."Yeah, I know ...now you funny too" )

Very well said. I wish I had your eloquent way with words.

I posted a thread last week about Phelps winning over Cavic. At the bottom of the thread were apparently some discussions of his use of pot. The thread was deleted. How is this thread any different? Just curious. Thanks.
