hey fellas! hope you all had a nice labor day holiday weekend. now that fall is fast approaching, i've been thinking about leaf clean up time, which will be here all too soon in west michigan. from what very little i know about them, billy goat seems to be a quality product. i found a used lawn vacum made by them for $400. i don't know how old it is, but it seems to be in pretty good shape. owner stated the self propelled drive system was updated from chain drive to oem belt drive. anything to look out for on these machines?

I have one, bought it new about 5 years ago.

The good: Works well picking up leaves, acorns and small trigs thru the wide front opening.

The not so good: The hose attachment lugs easily, and emptying the bag is really, really dirty.

It beats raking....:)

Looks like a nice piece of equipment.

I wonder how it compares to the 90's Sears 5hp vac/chipper I revived. Haven't really tried the vac part but the chipper is a excellent device to have.
